Seeking Community Action Board Member

COMMUNITY ACTION BOARD MEMBER SOUGHT

The NECALG Community Action Agency is seeking an individual that can represent our low-income residents in matters of program development and public awareness. The Community Services BlockGrant is a federal grant that provides funding to local/regional Community Action Agencies to design and operate services and programs unique to that location. In order to assure a cross-section of input, it is required that an advisory Board is created called a “tri-partite” board, or one that has three stakeholder representation: Governmental, Private, and Low-Income.

NECALG is seeking an individual that is willing to sit on this board that can represent the needs and desires of the lower income persons in our six county Region. This person can be a direct representative that currently is qualified as a lower income person that has specific knowledge and insight he/she feels would be of value to this body. This person could be representative of a group or organization that works closely with this group of individuals and families and can be a voice for this group on multiple levels of concern.

Please contact Pat Gleason, NECALG CSBG Coordinator by phone (970-867-9409, x228 or email patg@necalg.com for information and/or nomination.
