Community Service Block Grant

The Overall purpose of the Community Action Agency is to develop and implement services and programs in response to the needs of low-income persons. The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federal program to assyuma county cupboardist low-income residents toward economic self-sufficiency.

How to Qualify

To qualify for services, an individual must meet the published income guidelines. Services include dental assistance and eye care assistance, as it pertains to furthering education or employment and purchase of food for the food banks in Northeastern Colorado.

The Community Action Agency allocates available funding for direct services to clients based on the percent of poverty in each county. This ensures that individual counties receive a fair allocation of CSBG funding. The funding allocations are used to determine the potential number of clients in each county who will be served through the eye care and dental program.
